Iron polysacharide

Iron pills often cause gastrointestinal upset. When this is a problem, and ferrous sulfate is causing intolerable GI upset, iron polysacharide may be used in its place and has been reported to be better tolerated. It is available 50 tabs or 150 mg caps or 100 mg/tsp elixir.
